No snow!

Woe is me and the entire state of Colorado!  Statewide, we are 26% of norm, but the southwest - yes, Ouray - is in even more dire straits.  By this time in 2021, we had 15 inches of snow, and last year it was 31 inches.   There are slightly better chances in the next week or so, but ugh.

While I was in Las Vegas, Mike, Greg, and Marchelle all reported nighttime fox screeching in the middle of the night, to the point of waking up households and dogs.  I haven't heard it since I've been home, but he or she is loud!

Some sad news:  a lot of you know Steve and Vern Lankenau, the true gentlemen who own the property behind some of our houses.  Vern died last month in Texas.  He had suffered a stroke late summer and had spent some tme in a rehab facility in Denver.  He died at his Texas home at the age of 93.   His was truly a life well lived, but I'm still so sad.  He was one of a kind.  There will be a service next summer in Ouray, and he wlil be buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery next to his beloved wife Dorothy.
