It's quiet in Ouray
The big melt is on with temperatures in the 50s and lows hovering around freezing here on MFL. I heard on the news yesterday that there is big concern that the snowmelt is happenng too fast to help our drought conditions. Considering the wildfires already breaking out in Colorado, Fort Lyons and Glenwood Canyon being only two examples, it is worrying.
Our bathroom renovation is nearly complete, just the last little tweaks left. Mike and I painted and stained yesterday and today, and I'm reminded that I am the world's most sloppy painter. One would think after painting every room in my 3400 square foot house in Colorado Springs I'd have mastered the technique, but no, still a slob.

Mike and I saw Belfast at The Wright last Wednesday. The cost was $5 a person. This is such a great asset to the Ouray community. Last summer, we saw a melodrama with our Colorado Springs friends, and it was hilarious and so entertaining. The Wright website is thewrightoperahouse.org
Another great asset is Ouray County Health on 2nd Street. I had my booster shot there last summer, and Mike and I had covid tests in early January for symptoms that ended up being bad colds. Next week, I'm scheduled to have another booster, because I'm old, I'm compromised, and I don't want to go to the hospital. They have clinics every Wednesday, and they're having a clinic bus at the Ouray Inn parking lot next weekend.
