Well, I tried...I really tried

It appears Wix is not for me.  I've been on Blogger for years and initially couldn't figure out a way to have two blogs so I tried something different.  It just didn't work for me.  There was that weird "About" paragraph that I didn't write.  I don't have the ability to self-aggrandize in that way, and I couldn't get rid of it or edit it.  After working on the Wix website for a while and not getting anywhere, I discovered a way to get on Blogger with a new blog.  Ta-da!  I'll leave up the Wix blog for a while and then delete.

As I write this, it's snowing, and I'm having trouble keeping away from the windows.  I think we have about an inch so far.  We have a fire going in the wood stove, the dogs are resting from snow play, and, oh, this will date me, I have Steely Dan's "Aja" CD playing.

There is a really cool website that has three cameras one can click on to  see what's happening in downtown Ouray.  There's a southwest view, a south view, and a north view.  I just clicked on it, and it's just spitting snow there while we are getting a pretty decent snowfall:

This morning while we were out with the romping dogs, we met up with Kelly, who is dogsitting for Mario, Jason's (15) roommate.  She told us that Mario is doing wilderness training and that she is headed someplace warm once he's back.  She named Utah, Mexico, and Brazil as possibilities.

We also saw a white truck with people using a chainsaw at David and Faith's house (14) and went to investigate if these were scalawags or friends.  We met Rosie Westfall, David's sister, and her friend? relative? coworker? Tyler doing some cleanup work for David and Faith while they are in Hawaii.   You could either call us snoops or neighborhood watchers, but know that we'll let you know if we see something odd at your house.

How wet and heavy was the snow that fell Tuesday?  It knocked down one of the gutters Mike put on the garage last winter and bent another.  They had withstood at least 70 inches of snow with nary a problem.  It was most likely the heaviest snow I have scooped to date.  We haven't looked at everyone's house to see if there is any minor damage, but don't be surprised if there is.  Yay for help with drought conditions!
